How We’re Different

limited time and resources

We understand your challenges

Our people are all experienced former not-for-profit CEOs and Senior Managers. We know what it’s like to pursue a vision with limited time and resources.

Australian remote locations

We’ll come to where you are

We have clients across the country, and Australia’s remote locations are a specialty. We understand the challenges of remoteness, and we find ways to make it work, affordably.

team with diverse strengths

We’re ‘just right’

Big enough to have great systems and capacity, small enough to be flexible, responsive and there for you. We’re not a corporation, and we’re not a ‘lone wolf’. We’re a team with diverse strengths, backup and resilience.

participatory process

We talk and think with you

We don’t accept the situation at ‘face value’. We look beneath the surface to see the influences and assumptions; and examine the bigger picture. Our participatory process is designed for real change and understanding, that is practical and right for you.

Our History

Matrix On Board was established in Sydney in 1997 by Morri Young who was joined by Nonie Wales in 2000, initially providing bookkeeping and accounting services to not for profit organisations. In response to client needs, it grew to offer a range of services including strategic planning, governance, financial management, staff development, recruitment and training.

In 2009, Nerida Nettelbeck joined the team and established services in Melbourne, then Darwin and Alice Springs. In 2015 the three business partners parted ways and established three organisations: Money Mob Talkabout, Matrix On Board (this organisation) and Accounting for Good.

Matrix On Board now operates from our Darwin office and draws on our ‘Web of Consultants’ for diverse expertise and on-location consulting delivery across Australia.

Where We Work

We are widely travelled.

We have clients across Australia, with projects ranging from complex, multi-site national projects to half-day tailored Board training. Our work takes us from remote aboriginal communities to the capital cities.
