We are in an emerging phase for not-for-profit organisations. The pervasiveness of technology, the expectations of accountability and transparency, and the blur between the traditional roles for NFPs and for-profit companies puts us at the beginning of new ways of working. Furthermore, the osmosis into the NFP sector of commercially-savvy managers looking for 'work with meaning' places NFP performance under the spotlight.
NFP managers now, more than ever, need good information about 'the business side' of what happens in their organisation, in order to deliver on the mission. Managers and Boards need business plans and rich financial information they understand, to keep their organisations focused and delivering... Matrix on Board is here to stand beside those managers and give them the skills to be leaders.
Our Mission
To be the leading provider of high quality professional services to not-for-profit organisations as they build their capacity and achieve their goals.
Our Goals
To work as part of not-for-profit organisations and manage their 'back office' systems so that management committees and senior staff can focus on delivering high quality services to their client groups with passion.
To provide high quality financial and strategic information is the basis for decision-making by management in not-for-profit organisations.
Our Locations
We have office locations in Melbourne, Sydney, Alice Springs, Darwin and Broome.
We travel a lot and work in rural and remote locations frequently. To make contact with our office people in your state, go to our Contacts page.
Another Language?

Our team of courageous communicators are doing great work in the North. Earlier this year we opened offices in Broome, Alice Springs and Darwin. Matrix was awarded the contract to mentor, train and support Money Managers working in remote communities, thanks to funding from FaHCSIA.
We are learning more and more about the way that Web 2.0 can keep us all connected. For example, you can follow Morri Young on Twitter. [Use Tweetr to follow your Twitter activity). Also we are promoting a Network site for people interested in Financial Management for Not for Profits which is open to everyone... Join up if this interests you, promote your work or ask for help, and check back to see how it goes.
Here is a timely reminder that no one is immune to financial mismanagement – even the best need an external reference point. Read on… And research conducted by the Senate Inquiry into disclosure in charities and NFPs found that ..."although a large majority of stakeholders said they wanted to be provided with financial statements, most also said they did not use them or did not understand them. The research found that the value of financial statement lies in their symbolic value in that they signal that proper financial oversight is in place." [Julie-Anne Mee, CNPS]
We wondered what our clients thought about our service, so we asked them. Read the interview with one of our clients in the FAQs.
