Kirsten Forrester

General Manager, NSW

Kirsten first came into contact with associations, advocacy groups and NFP organisations at uni in the late 80s and has never looked back. Her work in Australia has been with organisations as diverse as St Vincent de Paul, NCOSS and SDN Children’s Services and has most recently managed the corporate services division of a $30million agency. Kirsten has strong skills in finance and administration and loves to solve a problem.
In her spare time, Kirsten loves playing soccer and baking.

Jessie Godfrey

Administrator

With five years administrative experience under her belt, Jessie has come to discover the various (and sometimes strange) tasks administration can hold. Looking for a change of scene within a wonderfully flourishing company, Jessie wanted to bring these skills on board (no pun intended!) with Matrix. Martix’s bright and friendly team sparked an interest in working with non for profit organisations, one that she would love to develop and grow.
In her spare time Jessie likes to be creative whether it be making t-shirts for her daughter, baking cakes or gardening.

David Puls

Manager, NSW Management Support Services

David has spent the last 15 years working in the legal profession in a mix of private sector, health sector, not-for-profit, community based and human rights organisations. David has worked extensively with immigrants, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander populations, the HIV infected communities, and in 2000 was awarded the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission’s award for Human Rights in law.
In his time off David has been known to sing and bake bread from scratch. Mostly though he facilitates the bringing together of cheese, wine, and friends.

Polly Porteous

Senior Project Manager

Polly has worked in the community sector for 15 years, in Darwin, Sydney and India, as a tenants’ advocate, human rights officer, and for 5 years as the manager of a small peak not-for-profit organisation which supported 40 organisations across NSW.
Polly has also worked for the federal government within an NGO funding program.
Polly’s spare time is filled with two small children and their many rowdy friends.

Sally Lambourne

Senior Project Manager

Sally has over 17 years experience in the health and community service sectors. She has a strong track record in policy and program planning and evaluation, supported by a Master of Policy Studies. Sally is experienced in strategic planning and organisational development and understands government-funded programs from both a funder and client perspective. Sally has been an active participant on many non-profit boards.
Sally loves her family, AFL and hot chips – not necessarily in that order!

Susan Allen

Financial Literacy Educator

Susan has spent the last five years working on financial literacy programs within a non profit organisation, recently managing national savings programs across two states. Susan has an eclectic background covering banking, small business, program development, training and management . She has a Cert IV TAA and a Diploma in Life Skills Coaching. She brings passion to financial literacy and its benefits, to inspire and motivate people to improve their personal skills.
Susan loves travel and enjoys time with friends, family and her three dogs Remy, Ramsay and Bronte!

Alex Cowell

Client Manager, Financial Management Services

Alex has been a Client Manager at Matrix since 2007, working alongside non-profit organisations, overseeing their financial systems as well as building their capacity to understand their own finances. Alex also develops new services, such as Cloud Accounting, to meet the unique needs of the non-profit sector.
Alex delivers customised financial management training to non-profit organisations, and spent most of 2009 delivering training and mentoring indigenous organisations in Broome.
Alex is a mad Swannies fan and can’t get enough of quality double shot coffees.

Hasan Chowdhury

Assistant Accountant

Hasan is passionate about working at Matrix on Board and holds a Masters in Professional Accounting and Chemical Engineering. His outstanding skills in financial reporting software and MYOB enhanced tracking and accounting tools have helped to improve our financial reporting services. He is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
Hasan enjoys singing and walking at night when it’s a full moon.

Sony Bonang

Accountant

Sony holds a Bachelor of Economics degree with a major in Accountancy. With extensive accounting experience and outstanding MYOB skills, he has been providing high quality financial management services to all of his clients.
Sony enjoys the simple things in life like badminton and table tennis.

Sylvia Chou

Client Manager, Financial Management Services

With more than 8 years working with non profits in a senior role, Sylvia has a strong passion for the non profit industry and enjoys the challenges it brings.
Sylvia holds a Masters of Accounting, is a CPA qualified accountant and trainer. She also holds a science degree providing her with strong analytical skills.
Sylvia enjoys bushing walking, gardening, beach and experiences different sports. Her next challenge will be sky diving.

Daisy Wang

Assistant Accountant

Daisy holds a Masters of Accounting and is in the process of completing all requirements to become a CPA qualified accountant.
Daisy really enjoys her work with non profits at Matrix on Board and, when she is not working with Matrix she volunteers in a bush regeneration program for Lane Cove National Park which she finds very rewarding.

Evelyn Ong

Reporting Officer

Evelyn joins Matrix on Board fresh from completing her Business degree majoring in accounting and international business.
Evelyn is excited to have an opportunity to work with non profit organisations, through her work at Matrix on Board, as her first accounting position.
Evelyn has a love of adventure, reading and Korean drama. Evelyn would love to eventually have her own farm one day (she wants at least 20 dogs!)

Renan San Jose

Assistant Accountant

Renan joins Matrix with over 10 years of experience in accounting, finance, auditing and treasury. This is the first time Renan has worked in the not for profit sector, but is enjoying the experience so far. Renan is currently working on becoming a CPA.
Renan is a sport enthusiast with a special love for basketball and billiards.

Susan Ng

Accountant

Susan has been working for profit and non-profit organisations for about ten years. She holds a bachelor degree in economics and master of business in accounting. At the moment she is finishing her CPA program to be a qualified accountant. Susan has well developed financial and accounting principles and has extensive experience around accounts payable, receivable, cash management and month end reporting.
Susan loves to read in her spare time!

Yani Ginting

Assistant Accountant

Yani has a strong background in accounting. She is an experienced bookkeeper with over five years experience in working in different community organisations. She supports our bookkeeping team with her proficient practice, experience and innovative solutions.
Yani loves to sing whilst she is working.

Elsa Sosa

Assistant Accountant

Elsa is an exceptional bookkeeper who has become part of the team at a number of our important clients. Elsa has successfully integrated her proficient practice into the workflows around our clients. Her work tends to be in highly active clients whose staff are always on the go.
Elsa can cook paella for 30 people… Regularly!
