Nerida Nettelbeck

Managing Director for Services and Standards

Nerida has held senior management positions in a range of not for profit organisations over 16 years in both local and international context. Nerida holds quals in both Accounting and Organisation Development and believes that by having sound financial information boards, CEO’s and managers can maximise the outcomes for their constituents. Nerida’s strengths lie in business planning and managing the tension between social and financial objectives.
Not content with one Westie in her life, she now has two.

Angela Shima

General Manager Northern Australia

Angela is a born and bred Darwinian, having spent most of her life in Darwin with a few short stints in both Jabiru and Katherine. Angela started out in various financial management roles in the corporate world before making the move into the not for profit sector working for two of the largest not for profit organisations in the Northern Territory. Angela has recently been working in the management of Quality Management Systems, finance procedures and policies, strategic and operational planning and project management of new financial management programs/tools.

Fiona Hofmeyer

Administrator

Fiona has lived in the NT for over 30 years and has a range of management experience in NGOs and private enterprise. She has a strong marketing background but has more recently moved into organisations with a strong social justice commitment. Fiona has recently qualified as a Bookkeeper and hopes to provide Matrix Northern Australia with quality administrative support.
Fiona loves walking, beading, painting, singing and taking the road less traveled.

Priscilla Boucher

Administrator

Priscilla has worked within the non profit sector for the last 6 years, primarily training indigenous adults in community services, implementing health promotion projects on remote communities and, at a management level, leading teams and projects that contribute to the health of Indigenous people in the Territory.
Priscilla’s educational background and qualifications are in the public health area.
Priscilla is busy with a boisterous little boy and post grad study.

Michelle Taylor

Manager, Management Support Services

Michelle has worked in corporate, government and not-for-profit organisations in Australia, Mexico, the United States and Thailand. She began as a trouble shooter in finance and administration and moved on to strategic planning and relationship management. In 2009 Michelle completed an 18 month assignment as a volunteer Management Advisor for an indigenous NGO in the Solomon Islands. She returned to Australia with a strong commitment to helping non-profit organisations.

Emma Pickett

Client Manager

Emma has been an accountant for Chartered and CPA firms for the last 5½ years. Emma is passionate about her consulting work in the Northern Territory, particularly in the non profit sector. Emma’s experience is in bookkeeping, accounting and consultancy work for both commercial enterprise and non profits.
Emma holds a bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting, Management and Marketing and is currently completing her CPA.
Emma is a Victorian, but has lived in Darwin for the past 3 years.

Leah Gardiner

Client Manager

Leah is a born and bred Territorian, having just moved back to Darwin after being in Gove (Nhulunbuy) for the past four years. During her time there she worked for a bank for three years and because it was such a small bank she was able to gain many different roles from working with money to being personal banker helping people with their accounts, personal loans.
Leah enjoys fishing and camping as well as hanging out with friends and family.

Marilyn Smith

Client Manager, Financial Management Resource Support Unit (Katherine)

Marilyn’s background is Aboriginal and Australian South Sea Islander growing up in her father’s country in Central Queensland. She started off her working life there and her experience includes working in the Northern Territory and for the past 14 years in the beautiful Kimberley. She has had involvement with community organisations and also includes working in Centrelink with a passion to address Indigenous disadvantage.

Sharon Laughton

Client Manager, Financial Management Resource Support Unit

Sharon is one of very few true Darwinians still living in Darwin! She has worked for the past 8 years in the NT Superannuation Office for the NT Government in a variety of roles. Sharon had a brief stint in Brisbane, but is now back in Darwin, working with Indigenous communities, a job that she enjoys.
Sharon likes to play softball and tries to spend as much time with her daughter as possible.
