Part 2 – An Introduction to Cloud Accounting

Many Non-profit organisations which are located outside large urban centres can find it difficult to access well trained bookkeepers and other financial management services that they can rely on for accurate and reliable financial information. Accessing bookkeepers, accountants and financial advice especially suited for Non-profits is now a reality using simple-to-use computer applications. Cloud Accounting is a web-based, secure, hands-on-accounting service where you have a high skilled professional working with you, off-site, ensuring the books are done well, and in-house staff are coached to carry some of the financial management responsibility without increasing risks of error and fraud in the organisation.

This information session will outline the practicalities of Cloud Accounting, how it works and how it can take away the stress of managing financials. We will also look at the risks and challenges organisations might face. The session will profile Xero, which is Australia’s leading cloud based accounting software.
