MYOB

Thanks to MYOB for generously donating AccountRight Plus software to each FABO Winner’s organisation!

Congratulations!

Winners of the 2010 inaugural FABO Awards were announced Monday evening at the FABO Awards Gala Dinner at Watersedge Restaurant by the Rocks at Sydney Harbour. The Gala was quite a celebration, featuring entertainment by jazz artist Lindsay Winkler and opportunities for attendees to network and share ideas. Ronni Kahn, Australia’s Local Hero 2010 (Australian of The Year Awards) and Founder of Oz Harvest gave the keynote address.

Judges had narrowed a list of well over 200 nominees to 40 finalists in September. One person in each of nine categories won a FABO Award at the Gala and a tenth person, Vicki Dodd of Aboriginal Resource Centre Inc., won the Judges Outstanding Achievement Award.

MYOB, generous sponsors of two of our FABO Awards, announced that they will also donate AccountRight Plus software to each of the Award Winners’ non-profit organisations. This is a substantial contribution of MYOB’s award-winning, intuitive accounting software. Thanks MYOB!!!

The FABO Awards are meant to recognise the contributions of people who work in the less-visible, back office positions in Australia’s non-profit organisations and social enterprises. These third sector organisations not only make great contributions to our people and culture, they also make large contributions to our economy. The FABOs are a chance to celebrate the achievements of individuals and the non-profit sector at large.

Thanks to all who contributed to the Gala Dinner celebration and the success of the inaugural FABOs!
